We try to reduce unnecessary environmental impact wherever practical.
PFM Surveying Ltd operates largely paperless, although some handwritten notes and printed documents are still used during inspections and report preparation, where this remains the most practical approach.
Where feasible we use public transport for business travel. Site work is otherwise carried out using electric vehicles.
We aim to work efficiently, reduce waste where possible, and avoid unnecessary printing and travel.
If you would like more detailed information, please contact us and we will be happy to provide further details regarding our environmental approach.
-
PFM Surveying Ltd may occasionally use AI-assisted tools to help draft or refine written content and business materials.
All survey inspections, findings, opinions, recommendations, and professional conclusions are produced and reviewed by a qualified surveyor.
AI is not relied upon for professional judgement, defect diagnosis, or automated decision-making.
Client personal data is not intentionally submitted to public AI systems as part of this process.
-
We take client privacy seriously and handle information in accordance with UK data protection legislation.
Client information is only used for purposes connected with our professional services and is not sold or shared unnecessarily with third parties.
-
We aim to communicate clearly and make our services as accessible as reasonably possible.
If you require documents in an alternative format or have any accessibility requirements, please contact us and we will do our best to assist.
-
PFM Surveying Ltd is regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and operates a formal Complaints Handling Procedure (CHP).
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, we ask that you contact us in the first instance so we can attempt to resolve the matter promptly and fairly.
Where a complaint cannot be resolved internally, clients may have access to independent alternative dispute resolution through CEDR in accordance with our Complaints Handling Procedure and RICS requirements.
A copy of our Complaints Handling Procedure is available on request.
-
PFM Surveying Ltd believes people should be treated fairly, respectfully, and professionally regardless of background, identity, disability, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, age, or personal circumstances.
We aim to provide an inclusive and approachable service to all clients and to communicate in a clear, respectful, and accessible manner.
We recognise that every client and property situation is different, and we believe professionalism includes treating people with dignity, patience, and understanding.
If you have any accessibility requirements or particular needs relating to communication or appointments, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
-
PFM Surveying Ltd is committed to maintaining professional competence through ongoing formal and informal Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
This includes structured learning, technical research, industry updates, site-based experience, professional reading, and relevant training activities connected to the services we provide.
We maintain and record CPD in accordance with professional body requirements, including a minimum of at least 35 hours of relevant CPD each year in line with CABE requirements, which meets and exceeds the minimum requirements expected by RICS.
We believe ongoing learning and professional development are essential to maintaining high professional standards and providing informed, up-to-date advice to clients.
-
PFM Surveying Ltd only instructs fully qualified Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
We believe clients benefit from dealing directly with experienced surveyors who have completed full professional qualification pathways and maintain ongoing professional standards through regulated Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Surveying is ultimately a practical profession built on experience, judgement, technical knowledge, and clear communication, not just letters after a name, but we believe chartered status remains an important benchmark of professional competence and accountability.
